Lactic Acid 10% + HA is an alpha hydroxy acid solution that offers effective exfoliation targeted at the skin’s surface. It is supported with purified Tasmanian pepperberry extract, which has been shown to reduce irritation and sensitivity that can be associated with acid use. This water-based serum is ideal for dry skin types. This pH of this formula is approximately 3.8. Lactic Acid has a pKa of 3.8 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa implies acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.

Lactic Acid: Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that exfoliates the skin’s surface and helps to remove dead skin cells. It is a gentle exfoliant that can improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and promote a brighter complexion.

Glycerin: Glycerin is a humectant that helps to attract and retain moisture in the skin. It hydrates the skin, making it feel soft and smooth, and can also improve the skin’s barrier function.

Apply once a day, preferably at night time. If skin irritation occurs, use the product less frequently to allow skin time to build up tolerance. You can also dilute the formula with other products to reduce its strength. If irritation persists, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes.

Important:
Do not use on skin that is peeling or damaged. Always use an SPF during the day time when using products containing AHAs.
